Web Browser Statistics – Firefox Rose from 18% to 27.3% in Only a Year
Firefox is now the most used browser in the entire world, but of course we already knew that. What is interesting though is how quickly it became so popular. If you take a look at the Browser Statistics from W3Schools, Firefox popularity rose from 18% to 27.3% in only a year (September 2005-2006). Compare that to Internet Explorer 6’s drop from 69.8% to 55.6%. And if you haven’t heard of W3Schools, they help web developers by providing tutorials and other resources of many different web development subjects.

Microsoft: Now, can you please make your browser W3C-compliant? You are making a lot of people angry.
