Funnest Game I’ve Played For a Long Time - WarioWare

Maybe I haven’t been playing enough games, wait…I don’t play games anymore except only on rare occasions, but I just played WarioWare: Smooth Moves on my brother’s Wii and it is FUUUUUN. It’s been a while since I have played a game that leaves me feeling excited and absorbed.
WarioWare, if you haven’t heard, is composed of a series of mini-games. In each mini-game you are given about 5 seconds to figure out how to win each game with the Wii controller. The game is fast-paced and forces me to think which is asking something unusual from me. Too many games these days are based on the same old concepts and are extremely easy to figure out, but WarioWare is different. Even the scene cuts and in-game manual gives me a good chuckle.
Here are some in-game pictures:

And some in-game action:
Despite the incredibly fun gameplay, I wish the game had slightly better cut-scenes. Don’t get me wrong. The game was designed to look simple and cartoony, but the poor animation (which looks like a crappy short created from Flash) leaves me the impression that the game designers were lazy. What makes it even worse is that you can’t skip them either! The fact that the mini-games are already so simply drawn doesn’t help the laziness impression either.
Here’s a sample cut-scene:
To end, I highly recommend this super creative game. Game developers should learn something from WarioWare!
