Grocery Shopping Fun-nes

I went grocery shopping with my girlfriend the other day and ended seeing some weird things and decided to buy 2 baby black bear hamsters out of impulse.

We found out that people who are allergic to peanuts should not eat peanuts because they contain traces of *gasp* peanuts!

Oh really? Traces of peanut in peanuts?

We also saw this weird looking thing. I think it’s some kind of humanely deformed ginger. What it looks like, I will leave to your imagination.

This looks like.....

I also spotted a familiar character from Asia. This kid’s called 旺旺(Wang Wang) and is the logo of one of the largest food suppliers in Asia. It’s nice to see that they are expanding into the North American market!

While shopping, I asked my girlfriend, Rebecca what kind of a pet she would get in Waterloo. She responded with hamsters! They’re relatively low-maintenance, cute and don’t need a lot of attention. So one thing lead to another, and before we knew it we were at the counter of Petcetera with a hamster cage and two tiny black bear hamsters!

But the hamsters kept fighting so we had to buy a separate cage. Despite having a brand new cage, both hamsters are still sleeping together (awww).

Here are some pictures:
