You are probably wondering, “What the hell are “First Page Results”? Simply put, when you search for keywords from Google (or any search engine) the websites that show up on the first page always get high incoming traffic. A lot more people visit the websites listed on the first page compared to sites listed on later pages. So, you always try to have your website in the top 10 ranking for your keywords.

The keywords for my website are my name,“Peter Kao” and “Undergrad Entrepreneur.”

After doing some configurations with Google Webmaster Tools the search rankings for my website immediately shot-up.

I came from being on the second page for the keywords “Peter Kao” to the first page. Now, this may seem silly since this blog is my blog. However, you’d be surprised how many Peter Kao wannabe’s are out there. What a bunch of phonies eh?

Also, now I’m ranked third (not as in third page, but third result!!) for keywords, “Undergrad Entrepreneur.”

But if you do a search with “Undergraduate Entrepreneur” my page is no where to be found…

Anyways, the point is to use Google Webmaster Tools if you want to be ranked up high in Google search results!
