Yay!
A few months ago, I received an email from Kelly Sonora from Online College Degree informing me that PeterKao.com was listed as one of the 100 best blogs for young entrepreneurs!
I’m glad that my blog has reached young entrepeneurs across the internets. Thank you all for your readership support!

It’s no surprise that Tokyo, Japan leads the bunch with over 11,000 tweets in a day. Second is New York and third, San Francisco.
For us Canadians, Toronto came in 14th while my home-town, Vancouver came in 25th.

If you have just finished building your corporate website, submitting your website to online directories may increase your ranking on search engines and generate more page landings.
See the huge list of web directories here: http://www.definiteweb.com/list-of-directories2.htm
There are TONS of directories in that list. However, I only recommend submitting to the major ones, especially the popular search engines:
1) Google – http://www.google.com/addurl/
2) Yahoo – https://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/submit
3) MSN Live – http://search.live.com/docs/submit.aspx
4) Open Directory – http://www.dmoz.org
You should also invest in submitting your website into the Yahoo! Directory. It will cost you $299USD but it’s well worth it! It’s the YellowBook of the internet! Since we’re on the topic, make sure to submit your business in local business directories as well. YellowBook is a must considering it’s popular and FREE.

I’m not going to lie to you, this is probably the most useful post thus far on my blog (if you’re a young entrepreneur, that is).
Here’s the list of all the grants and loans (aka free money) for young Canadian entrepreneurs residing in Ontario:
Ontario:
Youth Entrepreneurship Partnerships Grants for NON-PROFIT Organizations- provides funding of up to $100,000 per year for up to 3 years to non-profit organizations in Ontario that facilitate the development of an enterprising culture amongst Ontario’s youth (typically between the ages of 12 – 29) by providing them with educational, experiential, and entrepreneurial opportunities and programs.
Young Entrepreneurs Program: Summer Company – up to $3000 for students between 15 and 29 to start a summer business.
Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program – not clear on the benefits, it’s like an “after hours” co-op program for more info contact:
Ministry of Education and Training – MET Hotline Telephone: (416) 326-5656, 1-800-387-5656

There are a lot of Firefox plugins that add cool little features to your browser, but only a few have really changed my life and the way I use my Firefox browser. Unfortunately, there are just as many blogs on “top Firefox plugins” that don’t really do more than to showcase a bunch of popular, most-downloaded plugins.
Here is a short list of plugins that have really made a difference for me. There may be some that you have seen or not seen, but they are definite must-haves for me. Props to the creators of these plugins!
